How
does ActiveScan work?

The first time you use ActiveScan you will need to download the ActiveX controls
and various components of the application. The file size is 1.5MB and will take approximately
5 minutes using a 56k modem. During the process you must accept the terms of the agreement
to begin using ActiveScan.
To complete the process, simply select the area or program you would like to scan.
If the disinfect option is activated, ActiveScan will then eliminate any virus it encounters.
In the unlikely event that ActiveScan cannot delete the virus, send it immediately to the Panda
Virus Laboratory to be examined. The results of the analysis will be sent to you as soon as they
are available.

ActiveScan makes use of this technology to complete its operations, so it is possible to access the program using a navigator that supports ActiveX controls (Internet Explorer 4 or later).
